PRO TOUCH SA FAQ'S

Welcome to the Pro Touch SA  (PTSA) Frequently Asked Questions. The most common questions we receive are answered here but should you need more information please contact us on info@protouchsa.co.uk

 WHAT ARE THE BASIC CRITERIA TO APPLY?

You need to between the ages of 4-15 years old and you must have played football to District standard or been recommended to us by a Club Coach or Scout (U11-15s).

 

I AM 16 AND OVER, CAN I APPLY?

No. Sorry we do not cater for players aged 16 plus at the moment, however  we can signpost players to college programmes and football scholarship education programme with our partner Clubs.

WHY DO YOU WANT A PARENT/GUARDIAN TO SUBMIT THE APPLICATION?

PTSA takes great care of application details but your parents/guardian as they will need to be aware you are applying to PTSA for a Trial and they will have some key information such as your Doctors full details.

 

WHAT LEVEL OF PLAYER ARE YOU LOOKING FOR?

We are looking for School Team / District Standard as a minimum entry requirement for the PTSA (for played aged between 11-15s), unless you can be recommended by a Teacher/Coach who believes you may have missed out but are actually School Team / District Standard.

 

I DON'T LIVE NEAR LONDON, CAN I STILL APPLY?

You don't need to live in London. PTSA takes players from across Hertfordshire and Essex as we currently have players travelling in from Chelmsford, Stevenage, Watford etc.

 

I LIVE OUTSIDE THE UK, CAN I STILL APPLY?

Unfortunately if you live outside Europe, then you can’t apply for trials. However if you hold a European valid Passport, than we may be able assist you in securing a professional trial based you have impressed our coaches at PTSA first?  We can invite players to participate in our training and games programmes if you are planning to visit London on Holiday (individuals will need to cover all travel and accommodation costs incurred).  Check with the British Embassy / British Council  in your  respective country.

 

HOW MUCH DOES THE PRO TOUCH SA COST?

The PTSA monthly training fees can cost anything between £20-50 per month paid by standing order each and every month. This does not include any friendly matches organised against professional and non professional teams throughout the year. Further costs applies anything from £1-£20 for coach travel e.g. travelling to Nottingham or Liverpool. Once accepted there is a one-off PTSA uniform package fee of £150 for your training kit, which includes PTSA red and white t-shirts each, R11 Gold & White, R11 tracksuit, R11 Padded Jacket, R11 shorts, R11 socks, PTSA beanie hat and PTSA Rucksack

 

 

 

 

 

HOW CAN I LIVE MY DREAM WITH PRO TOUCH SA 

Before you apply for a trial to the PTSA you must be prepared to full commit to our football training and our informal education programmes. During the year PTSA showcases coached games against professional sides for the best potential players across the country as well as international festivals where respected professional scouts are exclusively invited to the events.

 

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

From Day One you will be learning the basic competencies required of a professional football player. You will be working on:

  • Ball Mastery
  • Football skills
  • Strategies and techniques
  • Specialist training methods for outfield players
  • Specialist training for goalkeepers
  • Anaerobic exercise and plyometrics
  • Introduction to Sports Nutrition and Sports Psychology
  • Fitness and endurance exercise
  • Key skills

 

HOW WILL I DEVELOP AS A PLAYER?

You will develop through playing in the Hackney Marshes Saturday Youth League, Camden Youth Park League (Saturday) and Camden & Islington Football Youth League.

Attending  International Youth Tournaments such as the Dana Cup, Denmark (July), 
Iber Cup, Portugal (July), Iber Cup Spain (June), Ibercup Scandivian, Denmark  (August) (Denmark)

 

PTSA has access to some of the best facilities available for individual development, team coaching and training across London including Market Road, Islington and Regent’s Park which both in recent years seen huge redevelopment and refurbishment, spending millions of pounds.

 

HOW WILL I BE SEEN BY PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL CLUBS? WHICH CLUBS ARE YOU ASSOCIATED WITH?

PTSA has numerous professional contacts such as Arsenal, Chelsea, Fulham, Leyton Orient, Reading, Nottingham Forest, Queens Park Rangers, Tottenham Hotspur, Watford and West Ham United just to name a few. Out of the 92 professional clubs in England, we have at least 75 of those clubs in our contacts. We also play games against professional teams throughout the year especially during school holidays giving you ample opportunities to be scouted.

 

WHERE ARE THE TRIALS HELD?

All PTSA trials are held across London, but in recent years we have hosted trials in London boroughs of Camden, Enfield, Islington, Southwark, Tower Hamlets and Westminster throughout the year, mainly during School Holidays.

 

WHAT HAPPENS IF I FAIL TO ATTEND REGULARLY?

PTSA will release any players from the elite programme if this continues too often without genuine reasons. All cases are individually monitored by the Lead Academy coaches
