Community and Sports Project Manager
Tamia entered our organisation through the Government's Kickstart scheme in 2020 and has advanced within the company to assume the role of a Project Manager at PTSA.
In 2019, after obtaining her degree in Football Business and Media from the University College of Football Business (UCFB), Tamia committed herself to building a career in football and youth work. In addition to overseeing the smooth operation of the Academy, Tamia provides valuable support to the Academy Director and the broader Operations team in the day-to-day functioning of PTSA.
However, Tamia truly excels in her role as the leader and coordinator of several projects designed to create safe and enjoyable environments for disadvantaged young Londoners. Her aspirations are set high, aiming to work professionally in the Premier League and pursue a Master's in International Football Business to explore opportunities on the international stage.
Tamia is an ambitious professional with a strong passion and experience in using sports and physical activity as tools for broader social and individual development in the London community. With a lifelong love for football stemming from her sports background, she earned her degree in Football Business and Media from the University College of Football Business U in 2019. Since then, her focus has been on forging a career in football and youth work.
Currently serving as the Project Manager of the Academy, Tamia plays a crucial role in ensuring the department's efficient operation. She also lends her support to the Academy Director and the broader Operations Team in the day-to-day management of PTSA. In this capacity, she has gained valuable experience in organizing and facilitating events that foster community cohesion, break down barriers, and promote inclusivity. These events support young Londoners in reaching their goals, transcending the obstacles they face in their daily lives, and establishing a stronger support network while having fun in our various holiday camps.
By leading, organizing, and delivering projects, Tamia has expanded her network and identified reliable organizations that engage youth meaningfully. Her experience in engaging and supporting young Londoners from disadvantaged backgrounds has provided training in grant applications, marketing, and the leadership and organization of projects, such as the London Youths S4D Project and the SISPAN Stay Active Project SEND Men’s Football.
Tamia's future aspirations involve advancing in the Football Business Management field, working professionally in the Premier League, and pursuing a Master's in International Football Business to explore international opportunities.
